Codes of Practice for Species Control provisions

The Code of Practice for Species Control Provisions in England (external link).

This code of practice sets out how the provisions for species control agreements and orders contained in the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 should be applied by Natural England, the Environment Agency and the Forestry Commission. This code relates to England only.

The Code of Practice for Non-Native Species in Scotland (external link)

This code of practice sets out how the provisions for species control agreements and orders contained in the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 should be applied by the Scottish Ministers and NatureScot. The Code also sets out guidance on how you should act responsibly within the law to ensure that non-native species under your ownership, care and management do not cause harm to our environment. This code relates to Scotland only.
