Yellow-legged Asian Hornet Week

1-7 September 2025 is Yellow-legged Asian Hornet Week, led by the British Beekeepers Association (BBKA). The aim is to raise awareness of the invasive non-native species yellow-legged hornet (AKA Asian hornet), and the importance of reporting sightings through the following:

The Animal and Plant Health Agency (APHA)’s National Bee Unit and the NNSS are supporting the week. The BBKA and APHA are posting regular content on their social media accounts (see below for links):
