Welcome to day three of Invasive Species Week 2025!
Activities and events to raise awareness of invasive non-native species will be held all week across England, Guernsey, Ireland, Isle of Man, Jersey, Northern Ireland, Scotland, and Wales.

- Our webinar with the Angling Trust, British Rowing, Paddle UK and RYA on how they are working together to reduce the impacts of invasive aquatic species, the recording will be available later today on our webinar page.
- It's Invasive Species Week: an update on current RSPB projects to address invasive non-native species
- The Scottish Invasive Species Initiative were recorded for the first of two exciting filming opportunities this week - look out for details soon on their social media.
- Amgueddfa Cymru - Museum Wales hosted a pop-up stand to raise awareness of invasive plants.
Our daily theme
Today’s theme is ‘Be Plant Wise! We’re asking gardeners and pond and aquarium owners to help prevent their plants from escaping into the wild where they could become invasive.
- Check out our new stickers – gardeners can use them on compost bins, and retailers can display them by the till. You can order these from [email protected].
- We’ve also created a new infographic to celebrate some of the highlights of Be Plant Wise – thank you to everyone who has helped support the campaign.

Events today
Today’s webinar takes place at 13:00. Hear how the Environment Agency are responding to the invasive plant water primrose, and why preventing new introductions is so important. Find out more and register.
