A huge thank you to everyone that has taken part this week, it’s been a fantastic week so far and we’ve loved hearing what you’ve been up to!
Today’s theme: responsible pet ownership
To celebrate our theme today we’re launching a new campaign for keepers of non-traditional pets, Don’t let them loose, developed with the help of the Pet Pathway Action Plan working group.
To protect the welfare of native wildlife and pets, we’re asking pet owners to:
- Keep pets securely – make sure live food containers are secure too!
- Dispose of waste responsibly – your pet’s bedding and other materials could contain other plants and animals that could become invasive species.
- Rehome with care if you can no longer look after your animal – Don’t let them loose!
Visit www.nonnativespecies.org/dont-let-them-loose for more information and to download graphics for social media. Stay tuned for other materials to help raise awareness!
A huge thank you to everyone involved in developing Don’t let them loose!
