In the Overseas Territories
While the impact of invasive non-native species on islands close to mainland Britain is severe, it is even more of a problem for the UK Overseas Territories.
Just one example is the House Mouse which is having a devastating effect on the seabird colonies of Gough Island. There is even evidence that the mice will eat the chicks of the critically endangered Tristan Albatross, Diomedea dabbenena, alive!
